About Us

We are a grassroot movement started by local activists Rob Taylor and Diane Rich. The two attended meeting sponsored by BOEM, they distributed signs (purchased by a likeminded sponsor) that stated opposition to the turbines. Many other attendees sided with Taylor and Rich. Interestly enough whether attendees were politically left or right did not matter, most attendees were against this project. 

County Commissioners from Coos, Curry, and Douglas Counties opposed the offshore wind turbines with formal proclamations of opposition. 

Then, the organizations like the tribes reversed their initial position of interest and their positions elvolved to opposition for the project.

However, the project is not being stopped: We must hold the line against this project. The movement continues to grow and new particiants are always welcome at the rallies.
